Join us at the Welcoming Station!
It can be a bit intimidating walking into a new church. And yet, all of our members and frequent visitors at one point made that step – so we all understand! On this page, we hope to answer some of the logistical questions about our facilities and worship services that you might have before you come visit us. And if you have a question that’s not answered here, please ask one of the greeters as you enter the church, or contact us at 847.885.7010 or email church@princeofpeace.net.
Which door should I use?
Our building has two primary entrances – one on the east side and the other on the north side. Either door can be used to enter the church for worship services. Here’s what you’ll find closest to each of the entrances:
North entrance:
- Elevator or stairs to main floor (Worship services)
- Elevator or stairs to lower level (Sunday school)
East entrance:
- Worship Center
- Church office
I have a young child. Where can he/she go during services?
Children are always welcome to join us during worship. Ask an usher for children’s activity boxes that contain crayons and coloring pages.
If your child is age 3 or older, they are welcome to join our Sunday School during the school year. Sunday School is offered at 9:00 AM. See our Youth Ministries page for more information.
How can I meet church members?
Feel free to introduce yourself during the sharing of the peace during the service. Then, after the service, you will find friendly faces all around, including at the Welcoming Station outside the main sanctuary.
You are also invited to join us for light refreshments in the Fellowship Hall.
