The Board of Youth Ministries provides numerous programs for youth of all ages. It is also responsible for arranging for the Nursery which is available each Sunday during all services.
Stepping Stones: Recognizing milestones in a youth’s religious education which includes 3 year old and 2nd grade Bibles, Blessing of the Backpacks, 1st Communion, Prayer Pillows, Confirmation, Affirmation of Baptism and Baccalaureate.
Retreats: 4th grade, 5/6 grade, 7/8 grade, High School retreats and Quake.
Sunday School: Every Sunday during the 9:45 service, we hold Sunday school classes that are taught by adult volunteers. We have classes starting at 3 years old through 8th grade.
Emerge is our high school ministry program and meets every Sunday night throughout the school year from 6:00-8:00 p.m. During this time, students dive into their faith through scripture, videos, games, hands-on learning, small groups, and more.
Special Events: We have 2 special events a year. The first one is in December when we hold our inter-generational family activity during Sunday school. The second special event is on Good Friday. Families are welcome to come and participate in activities, story time and treats.
Lenten Events: During the Lenten season we provide fun and educational activities for youth aged 3 to 9. Parents can attend these activities with their children or attend the adult groups.
Confirmation: During 7th, 8th, and 9th grades, youth learn the basic content of the Christian faith. A variety of service projects and retreats are included in the experience.
Vacation Bible School: During one week each summer, classes are held for 3 year olds through 4th grade. Youth experience God’s love through multi-sensory stations. Click here for more information.
